Don’t let a labor stall deter you

During labor your body may go through a natural alignment plateau, also known as NAP, where contractions may continue, but dilation stops for a while. This is perfectly normal! Your body will do this when there needs to be a physical alignment adjustment. When cartilages need to soften further. When your hormones need to balance out. When more immunities need to be produced for your baby. When certain muscle groups need a rest. And when your baby needs a break. Don't forget, your baby is on just as difficult of a journey as you are during labor. Your body is not failing to progress. If this happens, do not get discouraged. Trust that your body knows exactly what it needs to do and is doing just that!
