I have treated many women over the years who were struggling to get pregnant by using gentle visceral manipulation techniques to increase mobility. When increasing mobility, whether your shoulder joint or your uterus, you're optimizing the true function of the area and helping to return blood flow to the area. This is highly therapeutic. Conception is all about fluids: the blood flow supplying our sex organs, our menstrual flow, the flow of sperm, etc. Without adequate blood flow to the pelvis, we have pelvic congestion. This is a no-no when it comes to making a baby.
Visceral manipulation is a gentle and conservative approach to fertility. Through visceral manipulation we can improve blood flow, reduce any restrictions on the uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes, improve endocrine function and open the pathways needed for conception to occur. In fact, visceral work has been shown to vasodilate (or open)
the diameter of tubes by 30-40%. Greater diameter = greater fluid flow = greater chance of getting pregnant.
